Sinhala Meaning: පඬිවරු තමන් සිත තමා විසින්ම දමනය කරගනිති.
English meaning : The wise man controlls himslef.
How our school motto was originated.
“Udakaṁ hi nayanthi nettikā
Usukārā namayanti tejanaṁ
Dāruṁ namayanthi tachchakā
Attānaṁ damayanthi pandithā”
- By Lord Buddha – in Dhammapada 80th verse (Panditha Vagga) The Wise.
“Irrigators lead the waters
Fletchers bend the shafts
Carpenters bend the wood
The wise control themselves”
“If inanimate things could be so controlled, why couldn’t I control my own mind”
A novice monk thought to himself like this and attained Arahathship while at the age of a boy.
Rahulians follow this doctrine and achieve the targets of life as high scholars.

මාතා සොඳුරු ගුණ ධාරි දිනෙවා සැමදා හෙළ දීපේ //
ශිල්ප සතර දෙන සාරා – සිසු සෑමා
ගුණ නුවන වඩන අප මාතා
ශ්රී සාරා සදා ආලෝකේ
සෑම වෙසේහී පානා ශාන්ති
වේවා වේවා ශ්රී වේවා අප රාහූල මාතා හටා //
නේ දන සෑම පසස්නා තුති කරනා නිති ගුණ සෝභා

Nae dana saema pasasna
Thuthi karanaa nithi guna soabha
