How our school motto was originated.
“Udakaṁ hi nayanthi nettikā
Usukārā namayanti tejanaṁ
Dāruṁ namayanthi tachchakā
Attānaṁ damayanthi pandithā”
- By Lord Buddha – in Dhammapada 80th verse (Panditha Vagga) The Wise.
“Irrigators lead the waters
Fletchers bend the shafts
Carpenters bend the wood
The wise control themselves”
“If inanimate things can could be so controlled, why could I not control my own mind”
A novice monk thought to himself like this and attained Arahathship while yet aaged of a boy.
Rahulians follow this doctrine and achieve the targets of life as high scholars.
