Mr. Kithsiri Liyanagamage

2002 – 2010

Rahula College is fortunate to be on the top performers list of the national schools in Sri Lanka for nearly a century.

The new millenium has rewarded a great mentor to shine the school more and more.

The master, the main character is the present principal of the school, Mr. Kithsiri Liyanagamage. He posses the correct leadership capabilities, management power to gear the journey of develop the school accelerated. He invests his broader skills, knowledge and experience to mark the new era of Mother Rahula.

The competancy he has gained in many fields has not been acquired by using any shortcuts.

This self-mastered, motivated person was born in Galle district and studied in Pahala Keembiya Sirinivasa Vidyalaya and Wanduramba Central College in Galle. Then he entered Sri Jayawardanapura University and obtained the degree of Business Administration in 1985.

In 1988 he joined the Sri Lanka Educational Administration Service, After serving three years, he got the chance to become the youngest principal of a National School, Deniyaya Central College in 1991.

Mr. Kithsiri Liyanagamage was selected for valuable scholarship which was held in USA, Malaysia and England for management and training.

He became more popular in the Education field after being the great trainer in the training course for the principals of Southern Province.

In the year 2000 he got a rare opportunity to be as the Sri Lankan representative in The International Summit on Intergrated Education, in India.

On 20th May 2002, Mr. Kithsiri Liyanagamage has been appointed as The Principal of Rahula College Matara.
