As The Captain of Rahula College 1st Eleven cricket this year, I consider this as a great opportunity for me to deliver my message of good will and good wishes for the 8th cricket encounter the “Battle of Two Cities” at Uyanwatta Cricket Stadium.

Rahula College has proud history of cricket dating back to 1933. But since the year 2004, the “Battle of Two Cities” has been facilitating buds to bloom and show their colours to the cricket lovers of both cities.

Cricket is a game that motivate all the gentleman qualities among the players, The discipline, tolerance and endurance are included in the hearts of players htrough this game. Therefore our aim is to accept the challenges though victory and defeat produce cricketers at national level.

I hope those game qualities will help to enhance the good spirit. I wish the players of both teams to have the best of luck this year and I also wish to see this match ending with harmony, unity and understanding and friendly manner as well.
