Battle of Two Cities 2011: Message from The Prefect of Games.
It is with great pleasure I express my best wishes for “8th Battle of Two Cities” between Rahula College, Matara and St. Aloysius’ College, Galle at Matara Uyanwattha Stadium.
In the history of Sri Lankan cricket this is the one and only big match played between two leading colleges of different districts.
Our endevor is to build up a nation with good moral conduct and useful citizens to the country. The objective of formulating this type of sports event is to give our children more valuble lesson of accepting victory and defeat with a same spirit.
I consider it a great privilege to be The Prefect of Games of Rahula College to perform the responsibilities entrusted to me.
I would like to wish encounter will continue to play annaully producing cricketers of international standard.
