Battle of Two Cities 2011 Team



1. K.B. Prasadika Gamage.

Captain of the side. 4th year player. Right hand batsman and right hand leg spinner. As a middle order batsman, he scored 424 runs with 3 half centuries against Waththala St. Anthonies College, Colombo Carey College and Matara St. Servatius’ College. He has an ability to lead the team with confidence to win the matches. He was a member of Matara District Under 19 cricket team in 2009/2010.

2. R.M. Uyanahewa.

Vice captain of the team. Right hand batsman and off spinner. 5th year player. Achieved 33 wickets in this season. He showed his talents bu getting 14 wickets in 74 runs against St. Servatius College, Matara which led the victory of Rahula.

3. P.M. Ekanayake.

Former captain of the team. 6th year player. He scored 607 runs with two centuries and seven half centuries in this cricket season. He achieved 108 runs against Carey College, Colombo and 114 against Vidyartha College, Kandy in first innings and 50 runs in second innings. He took half centuries against Ambalangoda Devananda College, Kelaniya Dharmaloka College and Matara St. Thomas’ College. He is an allrounder and got an opportunity to award college colors. He was a member of Matara District Under 19 cricket team in 2009 and 2010.

4. Vihanga Kalhara Kottawasinghege.

4th year player. Right hand batsman and medium pace bowler. He scored passing 200 runs limit and took 26 wickets. Represented the Matara District team and a member of under 17 Sri Lanka School Cricket Pool. He is a promising cricketer.

5. Y.V.A. Nadun Tharanga.

Right arm medium pace bowler and a clever batsman. In this season he scored 113 runs not out against Horana Taxila College, 91 runs against Kurunegala Royal College and 52 runs against Panadura Sumangala College. He scored 414 runs and took 21 wickets. Middle order batsman. He was the captain of under 17 team in 2010 and memebr of under 17 Sri Lanka School Cricket Pool in 2010 and is a member of Southern Province Cricket Pools.

6. P.K. Sukitha Dinushanka.

Right arm batsman and medium pace bowler. 3rd year player. Clever fielder and scored exceeding 150 runs limit in this season.

7. S.S. Galappaththi.

Right hand batsman and medium pace bowler. 2nd year player. He contributes to save the team when in needs.

8. K.S. Kahandugoda.

The captain of under 17 team this year and 3rd year player. Right hand openning batsman and clever fielder.

9. V.G. Lasindu Nimsara.

Left hand batsman and right hand off spinner. 3rd year player. Good all-rounder.

10. P.T. Kulathunga.

Former captain of the under 15 team. 2nd year player. He got an opportunity to take part in the under 15 cricket tournament which was held in Malasia in 2010. Right hand openning batsman and medium pace bowler. He is an all rounder and promising cricketer with bright future. He has been qualified to award school colours.

11. H.H. Maduranga Rajapaksha.

Left hand batsman. 2nd year player. He scored 354 runs including 91 runs against Kandy Dharmaraja College and 98 runs against Horana Taxila College. He is a member of under 15 Sri Lanka school cricket pool. He is an all rounder and promising young cricketer with bright future.

12. N.H. Thilina Kasun.

Left hand leg spinner and left hand batsman. 2nd year player. Achieved 13 wickets in this season. He is a member of under 17 Sri Lanka Cricket Pool.

13. T.R. Narasinghe.

Left hand batsman and the wicket keeper of the team. Second year player. As the openning batsman he scored exceeding 150 runs limit. He represented under 17 Southern Province Cricket Team in 2010. Promising young cricketer with fine future.

14. W.W. Samera Chathuranga.

Right hand medium pace openning bowler. 1st year player. Achieved 15 opponent wickets. Right hand fast batsman.

15. P.A. Dulaj Kalhara.

Right hand fast batsman. 2nd year player. Extra wicket keeper of the team. Middle order batsman.

16. H.T. Vimukthi Madhushan.

Right hand batsman and offspinner. 2nd year player.

17. M.R. Galappaththi.

Left hand batsman and right arm off spinner. 1st year player. Capable to spin the ball well.

18. E.P. Kalana Hansaga.

He is the youngest of the team. 1st year player. Member of under 15 team as an openning batsman. Left hand batsman and right arm off spinner. Promising young player with bright future.
